Futurium

The Research Platform Neurourbanism is uniquely positioned to promote transdisciplinary science through a network of existing co-producing partners centered around a transdisciplinary neurourbanistic research partnership with Futurium Berlin as a primary Knowledge Exchange Partner. This collaborative network supports our mission of neurourbanism and forms a substantial basis for our scientific approach.

For instance, our Citizen Science project, “Your Emotional City,” is a joint project of Interdisciplinary Forum Neurourbanism e. V., Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Futurium, House of the Futures. It is funded by the Berlin University Alliance as part of the Excellence Strategy of the German federal and state governments. This project uses interactive city maps to project “emotional heatmaps” from EMA and density data. These maps and educational elements on urban living and mental health will be displayed at the Futurium Lab.

In Berlin, Futurium will serve as a hub for our science-policy-society dialogues, utilizing workshops, exhibitions, and laboratory activities to advance our knowledge and visibility.

Starting in September 2021, our Citizen Science project, “Your Emotional City,” has organized a series of public awareness events with Futurium to promote an urban mental health strategy.
