Theory of Neurourbanism

A new theoretical framework is needed to bridge different disciplines working on the city and the urban mind such as the cognitive sciences, social humanities, and architecture and urban disciplines. A holistic approach aims also identify co-determining factors of urban mental health that have previously been overlooked. As such, the task of theory development goes hand in hand with experimental designs, the questions we ask in our citizen science project "Your Emotional City” as well as informs the art interventions the urban planners are staging.
